Project Pan 2017 {Intro}

Hello There!

This project pan has taken me a little while to put together. I actually started this project at the beginning of the month, but as I was using the products every day I realized that I wanted to just declutter a few of the original items I had chosen. So here is my new, better thought out list of Project Pan items and pictures of my starting points for this project.

Lets start with lip products…lip balms in particular. For this project, I have chosen a Mary Kay Satin Lips Lip Balm and a ChapStick in Aloha Coconut. Since I wear lipstick pretty much every day, I never seem to reach for balms. I need to incorporate them into my morning and night routines!

Next, lipsticks. The first one we will talk about is the Bite Beauty lipstick in Jam. This color is a beautiful deep raspberry color. It’s a satin and moves around a lot on the lips, I honestly think the formula is a little off because I let it melt in my car a few months ago. I’d just like to use this up and get this out of my collection. Next, I chose the L’Oreal lipstick in Velvety Fuchsia. This is a sheer, glossy, hot pink lip stain. This color is light weight and perfect for the summer. I’m sure I will get some good use out of this over the next few months. My last lip product is a Tarte lip creme in Nurturing. This is a creamy, rose toned pink. I don’t care for Tarte lip creme’s very much, but I like this color and would like to use this up.

Moving onto eye shadows, I decided to choose one palette and a few single shadows for this project. Since palettes are a lot to work on, I decided to do a separate Pan That Palette to record the progress on my Tarte 2013 Holiday Palette. I’m still counting it at one item for my Project Pan, you can follow my Pan That Palette 2017 here.

The first single shadow that I have chosen is the L’Oreal Infallible single in Always Pearly Pink. This is an eye shadow that I have inherited from my mom, and neither of us has never touched it. Since it is brand new, I would love to start using it and give it a fair chance. There is A LOT of product in this pan, so I doubt it will be finished by the end of the year, but let’s see how big of a dent I can make. The last 2 shadows I chose are NYX singles in Luxor and Frosted Lilac. These are both metallic purples that I thought would work well with some of the deeper purple shades in the Tarte palette.

For blush, I picked a BH Cosmetics Duo in Rose. I’ve already been using this blush all month and I haven’t seen much change, so I have no clue of how much product really is in this pan. Since this is half blush and half highlight, I decided to add in another highlight (because we all know we need more highlight!). To compliment the powder highlight in the duo, I’m adding a Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Gold. Liquid highlights are perfect for that bronzed and dewy look for the summer and I’m looking forward to using this.

I started wearing glasses this past year and I haven’t worn eyeliner since. To get myself back into it, I’m adding the Tarte Tartist Clay Paint Liner. The tube is black, so I’m not quite sure of how much product is life, but as the months go by, I’m sure I will get a better idea.  I’m also putting 2 primers in this project as well, my Urban Decay eye shadow primer and my Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector.

My last 3 products are foundations. I have the Maybelline FITme! foundation in shade 235, dewy + smooth. I’ve had this foundation for a while, but I don’t reach for it much anymore. Even though you cannot see through the glass, here is not much left so I know that it will be easy to work through. Next, I have the Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done complexion perfector. I just purchased this recently and I honestly love it. Last, I have the Maybelline FITme! foundation stick in the shade 220.
