Today I’m doing a collaboration with Cassi from CassixMakeup! She is a sweet girl with fun beauty blog! She also has a great series on Saturday’s about her surrogacy journey. Please head over and check her out!
Since we both have a love of makeup, we have decided to do a “go to” makeup look using our favorite products. I wear makeup daily (for work) so most of the time, I only spend about 10-15 minutes on my face and get out the door. This is my “go-to” look:
As you can see, it’s super quick and simple! I used to be an eyeliner addict, but most of the time I prefer heavy lashes and no liner look. Mostly because I now wear glasses (if we’re being honest)! So let’s get into the products!
For my base products, I only have products that I am currently panning..but I happen to REALLY enjoy them. First, the Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Primer. This stuff will keep you makeup on no matter how bad the humidity wants to melt your face off! I then use a combination of the Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done and the Maybelline FITme! foundation stick. I love the One & Done, it’s light but still gives great coverage. I use the foundation stick along with it because the shade of the One & Done is a little dark for me right now. Next are brows! The E.L.F eyebrow kit is my holy grail brow product. (GASP…I like it better than I like Anastasia Beverly Hills)! It comes with a dark gel and a lighter powder, so you can have variety in your brow looks from bold to natural.
For blush, I’ve been using the BH Cosmetics duo in Rose…the color is okay, but I honestly don’t love this product (it’s just in my project pan). Along with the highlight in the duo, I’ve been using the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter in Champagne Gold. I LOVE Becca highlights! They’re gorgeous and easy to wear naturally or you can build them up when you want a full glam look!
For my eyes, I’ve been loving the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette (I’ll go into the details of the look below). My all time favorite mascara is Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes. I have been using this mascara for years and I just haven’t found anything that I like better for my lashes. My absolute favorite lip products are the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks. This particular shade is Lolita, it is the perfect rose-mauve nude for me!
Now for the eye look. I knew I was going to be wearing Lolita (rose-mauve shade) and my golden highlight so I decided to use similar shades for the eyes. First, I used Golden Ochre (golden/skin tone shade) all over the lid. Then I went in with Buon Fresco (light mauve) in the crease. To add a little extra, I went in with Red Ochre (burnt red) in the outer corner and blend, blend, blend (I didn’t want it to be the focal point or be too harsh).
Thank you so much for reading! Don’t forget to head over to Cassi’s blog to see her “go to” favorites!
